Engineered floors are constructed together using multiple layers of plywood which is then compressed together using high pressure methods. This allows the flooring to maintain ultimate strength with exceptional durability throughout. The wear layer (veneer) is a solid wood top which completes the plank giving the flooring a natural look. Engineered Wood Flooring is less likely to be damaged by water or heavy traffic. Engineered Wood Flooring is also suitable for use above under floor heating unlike its solid wood alternative.
