About the Business
You came when you said you'd come, you took as long as you said you would. The attention to detail was excellent and I would have no hesitation of recommending you to others. Whittlewoods Ltd began its life in 2001 as a one-man hardwood flooring and restoration business, founded and operated by Giles Whittle-Herbert. His skill and craftsmanship were soon recognised in the local area and business flourished. Whittlewoods began to establish a solid reputation, as a knowledgeable and reliable company intent on fulfilling the needs of discerning customers in search of quality wooden floors.
At the end of 2003 Giles decided to sell the business and with his family emigrate to Australia, where he now runs a very successful business; Whittlewaxes Ltd supplying the hard wax oil wood floor finishes that are so popular in UK, to the Australian market. Tony Peel and John Combe both Zimbabwean born businessmen purchased the company from Giles in 2003.
